Homestay Accommodation for Junior Summer Students

For students who join the Junior Summer Programme at Sutton Park School, accommodation is offered with carefully chosen local families who care for and supervise their young guests as they would their own children.
All our families have been carefully selected and are visited regularly by the International House Dublin Accommodation Officer.

Arrival and Departure Days
Students should arrive to their host family on the Saturday or Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday or Sunday after the course ends. Extra nights are usually available on request.

Airport Transfers
Return airport transfers are compulsory for junior students unless students arrive with a parent/guardian. Airport transfers are offered from Dublin Airport to our host families at a charge of €80 each way.

Location
The host families are located in areas close to Sutton Park School and a private bus service is provided each day to take students to and from the school.

Room Type
Junior students are hosted in a twin room sharing with a student of a similar age and different nationality.

Meals
Junior students have breakfast and dinner with their host family everyday. A hot lunch is provided at the school during the week except on Thursdays when students receive a packed lunch from their family for the half-day excursion to the city centre. Students also receive a packed lunch on Saturdays for the full-day excursion and have lunch with their host families on Sundays.

Laundry and Bed Linen
Bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels. Laundry can be included with the family wash unless special care is required such as hand washing or dry cleaning, in which case, a student should take care of his or her own laundry.

Pets
The majority of Irish families have at least one pet, usually a cat or dog. Often the animal lives outside in the garden. Only those students who are afraid of, or allergic to animals should request a house without pets as, during the peak season in particular, it can be quite difficult to find a family without animals.
